Every individual and every couple have their own needs and situations, so duration is different for different people. Completing your goals depends on your desire and commitment to change. My goal is for you to reach your goals and to be able to maintain the progress without relapsing.
The goal is not to have you depend on counseling for the rest of your life, but it's best to meet weekly. By meeting on a consistent weekly schedule, you will see greater progress. Change requires work. Destructive behaviors must be replaced with learning new behaviors. For the new behavior to be established it will take consistent practice and repetition. It is possible to move to bi-weekly and then monthly sessions as the addict maintains sobriety.
As I am not a medical or state-licensed therapist/counselor I do not take insurance, but I do provide a detailed receipt at payment that can be submitted to your insurance. It is up to your insurance provider to reimburse you.
